Samuel Muraya alias DJ Mo and his wife Linet Munyali alias Size 8 have announced the loss of their unborn child.

Losing the child followed a series of events that were triggered by Size 8’s medical condition.

According to a video that they posted on YouTube, Size 8 developed a medical condition that increased her blood pressure to abnormal levels of up to 200-230mm Hg.

“My blood pressure rose to a high level and for some time stayed abnormally high. Doctors tried all their best to manage my pressure, but it still kept fluctuating. They even administered different drugs to no avail. Currently, my pressure is still high, and I had to undergo surgery,” said Size 8.

“My wife’s blood pressure hit abnormal levels of up to 200-230 mm Hg,” DJ Mo said.

On their doctor’s advice, the couple had to accept the heart-wrenching decision to terminate the pregnancy to save the “Mateke” hit maker’s life.

“Our doctor advised us, saying that we now had to save the mother. We had no option but to allow them do the procedure,” said DJ Mo.

Size 8 underwent a successful medical procedure to terminate the pregnancy and lived to share the experience. She 8 reiterated that she was grateful to be alive and thanked God for the second chance.

"I am grateful to be alive. I am so grateful for life...and that is the reason I'm remaining positive, because I have life, and Wambo and Junior and my husband have been around. And I have the opportunity to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. So I'm not going to complain or murmur. I am victorious because I have life," said the musician.

Mo confirmed that the operation was successful and said God had a reason for everything.

“As you can see the operation was good. Everything has gone well. All I can say is God has a reason for everything,” Mo added.

DJ Mo thanked God and his fans for their support and urged anyone who has been through the same experience or currently is to take heart.
