Kenyan teenage Instagram sensation Elsa Majimbo has brought home the E! People’s Choice African Social Star category award. 

The elated 19-year-old made the announcement on her Twitter page on Monday morning as she shared the joy with her fans and followers on all social media platforms. 

Majimbo thanked her fans for voting for her to clinch the big deal international award.

E! congratulated her for fete as it announced her victory, only a few months into her young comedy career. 

Majimbo lives in Kenya with her family which is from South Africa and shot into fame with her hilarious videos after Covid-19 curfew took effect in March.

She has since earned a top spot on top global media outlets including CNN, New York Times and BBC over the comic relief she offered during the pandemic.

She faced off with South African singer Sho Madjozi, Thuso Mbedu, Zozi Tunzi, Dimma Umeh and Lydia Forson among others for the E! People Choice Awards.

Only last week, American big shot comedian Steve Harvey shared a hilarious clip of the chip-eating comedian on his Twitter account with the caption “introverts” adding impetus to her already exploding fame.

Majimbo is already an infuencer for US megastar singer Rihanna's fashion brand Fenty.

Majimbo is an internet comedian from Nairobi and her satirical monologues usually feature her munching crisps while leaning back on a pillow and using tiny pair of sunglasses as a prop.
