NTV presenter Anita Nkonge has called it quits at the Nation Media Group (NMG) owned station after a 3-year stint.

Nkonge made the news public in an emotional message on social media on Wednesday.

In her text, the journalist revealed that after three years she would be leaving NTV and headed to new and exciting challenges.

According to her, the news presenter who warmed the hearts of many with her captivating stories said working at the station was a blessing and a dream come true.

“There are not enough photos or words that can sum up what has, for me, been three transformational years at Nation Media Group, particularly NTV. Working for NTV has honestly been one of my many dreams come true,” she wrote.

She thanked the station for giving her the opportunity to work for them and believing in her, something that uplifted and helped her grow her talent.

The scribe was filled with happiness, noting NTV was her home where she joined as an intern and left having more skills and becoming a household name.

"I came in as a young intern and though leaving a few years later I have grown in leaps and bounds as a journalist. I am grateful for the lessons, the impactful stories I managed to do and the people I met in the midsts of it all. To my colleagues and editors, thank you for what has been an amazing and momentous chapter in my life," she said.

Nkonge revealed she is happy about her new chapter even though she failed to disclose what she would venture into next.

“Really excited for the new chapter and new beginning,” she added.
