An upcoming artist identified as Magbee254 Msanii has received backlash after slamming comedian Eric Omondi claiming that he refused to sponsor him.

According to Magbee, the comedian had promised to cater the costs for studio recording, but when tried reaching him and his team, all his calls were futile.

Taking to Nairobi archives, the artist was pictured holding a placard that said,

“Bado sijapata sponsor. Eric Omondi Studio waliniambia watanisaidia kufanya muziki lakini "wewe uliskia wapi”… Sasa kazi zao ni kuona status zangu," the placard read.

After realizing that the comedian was of no help to him, the upcoming artist sought help from other popular personalities.

“Kamene Goro, Mwalimu Rachael and Maina Kageni I need your help,” Magbee wrote in the placard.

Omondi was angered by the young man’s method of seeking help and reacted harshly, noting he also has various challenges.

"Kwani ni by force… Sisi hata Studio zetu ziko na Kesi Kortini na zilifungwa. Wewe Ambia Serikali ikupatie kazi bwana," he reacted.

Almost three weeks ago, Magbee had made the first appearance at the Nairobi CBD with his placard on which he was searching for a sugar mummy.

“I am broke. The economy is bad. I need to pay rent, electricity, and Wi-Fi. I have a job, but the money is not enough. I also need to do a video shoot, and one video costs Sh 25,000,” he wrote.
