Tanzanian singer Zuchu was a cheerful soul over the weekend after Tanzanian president Samia Suluhu made her a surprise call while she was performing in Zanzibar during her homecoming event.

The honourable moment happened when she was on the stage, entertaining an enormous crowd that had attended the event.

In a video making rounds on the internet, the WCB signee can be seen receiving the call and immediately the head of state greeted the crowd.

The conversation was however not audible enough as the crowd cheered in excitement.

It is reported that Suluhu called Zuchu to congratulate and praise her for being a great entertainer and most importantly, for pushing the music industry into a step forward.

The crowd was excited to hear from their president and all shouted out loud, celebrating her.

A month ago, the Tanzanian head of state surprised singer Nandy with a phone on stage.

Suluhu, while on the phone, informed the singer that she made the call to congratulate her for her efforts in promoting Tanzanian entertainment.

She also noted that she wished to have attended the festival but unfortunately she was unable, as she had to attend to other official duties.

Nandy also told Suluhu that she and the revellers were celebrating her 100 days in office and that they wished her all the best as she works to improve the lives of Tanzanians.
