Gospel singer Jimmy Gait recently found himself in a hot spot after justifying the mistreatment of Kenyan women in the Middle East.

During an interview on a local TV station, Gait said the women who work as house helps in the Middle East fall victim to mistreatment because they get intimate with their employers.

He argued that Kenyan men who work in the same gulf countries allegedly never get mistreated because they don't get into relationship with their employers' wives.

“There are so many Kenyan men working in the Middle East in Saudi, Qatar, Dubai the reason you don’t hear about men being mistreated is because they do not go sleeping with their bosses wives,” he said.

He went ahead to warn Kenyans working in the Middle Eastern countries to avoid immorality and indiscipline if they don’t want to get mistreated.

“Most Kenyans go there and they start doing immoral things and that leads to them being mistreated,” he added.

His strong and controversial opinion, however, did not go down well with Kenyans on soxial media and they bashed him, criticising his line of thinking.

This comes months after the gospel artist revealed that he had ventured into the job recruitment agency business that links Kenyan jobseekers with job opportunities in the Gulf.
