Controversial musician Alex Apoko alias Ringtone on Thursday left netizens and members of the public dumbfounded after arriving at the Kibera Law courts in an ambulance.

Ringtone was showing up at the court for a case hearing in which he accused blogger Robert Alai of assault six days ago in an incident of road rage at Kilimani in Nairobi.

The singer was seemingly in pain as he was heavily bandaged and clad in a hospital gown.

In a video, while speaking to journalists, Ringtone said that all he wanted is to get justice and see Alai who assaulted him prosecuted.

He claims he will fly out to South Africa for further medical attention after a hospital he allegedly went to said it lacked the equipment to perform some required scans.

The case failed to take off after the DPP recalled the file for further perusal.

Six days ago, Ringtone found himself on the receiving end after Alai confronted him following an accident involving their vehicles, as captured in videos that went viral.

In the videos widely circulated on social media, Ringtone is heard claiming that Alai blocked and hit his car at a roundabout on a road in Kilimani area.

Ringtone could be seen bleeding profusely on the side of his face.
