BBC journalist Ciru Muriuki has opened up on fighting grief which also has taught her some important life experiences since her father died last year.

In a post on her Facebook page, Ciru penned down lessons she has been forced to learn about grief and how to handle such situations.

According to the former K24 presenter, grief made her fearless. She can pass through any hardship that comes with life and is confident enough to make it through.

According to her, the passing of her dad opened her inner eyes, made her realize that life is transient.

Since her father died, the media beauty says she became compassionate and more of an intentional woman.

“When my father died so suddenly, that more than anything showed me just how short life is. I am more alive to this than I have ever been. So I am grabbing opportunities. I’m being more shameless in my self-promotion. And I try my best to show up for the people I love,” the journalist added.
