Media personality Jacque Maribe has become the latest celebrity to lose her Facebook page to hackers.

Maribe’s Facebook page that boasted over 11k followers got hacked on Monday, July 26 with the hackers posting pornographic clips.

She has since released a statement distancing herself from the absurd and weird posts on her timeline.

According to her, she was shocked but at the same time left in smiles wondering what’s the aim and benefits of the hackers breaching her privacy.

 “I got HACKED!!! On FB!!! The initial shock has me laughing at how idle some people can be to an extent of gross mischief. Ah, some people can be hilarious. What benefit does a person get from hacking someone’s page to post absurd and weird stuff? It is quite unfortunate,” she said.

The popular journalist also shared another post on her Instagram account asking her fans to stay away from the account as they might get conned or also fall victims of the same.

According to her, such acts of mischief are only done by idle people.

"Kindly disregard any posts coming from The Official Jacque Maribe Facebook page as from 7:00 pm EAT on Monday 26 July 2021. The page was hacked and the matter was reported and is currently being handled," Maribe said.

"The culprits are DESA JURANGMANGU who has claimed ownership of the page and is posting explicit content, RONALDO NOVAIS who is posing as the page admin, NOMAN NIXAMANI also posing as admin, and ABOAS NIZ posing as an analyst: all accounts of which appear to be fake. Please take care of being hacked by the same culprits," she warned her fans.
