Kikuyu singing sensation Samidoh Muchoki has disclosed that he revealed his affair with city politician Karen Nyamu to his wife Edith Nderitu way before Nyamu made the relationship public.

Samidoh said by the time Nyamu’s revelations were causing a media and social media frenzy, Edith already knew about the sex affair and resulting baby and they were dealing with it.

“Before the story came out, the matter was already known in my family but after some back and forth I started seeing things being posted online,” the Mugithi singer said.

He was being interviewed on Churchill Show on Sunday, where he intimated that he had opted to move on with his life after he issued a public apology over his scandalous affair.

“I decided not to dwell on it because I felt there were people who were even against my apology. But to me, sins do not stop becoming sins when you do them. So, I should not justify, I have to own up my mistakes so that I can start healing,” he added.

The father of three also told Daniel Ndambuki that he had made peace with the way things turned out and decided to remain with his wife of 11 years and raise their three children.

“She has been my pillar, mostly in prayers because some things I can’t even explain how they happened,” the singer added.

The singer in early March apologised to his wife, family and fans over his indiscretion after Nyamu shared a video of Samidoh spending some precious time with their son.

He issued the apology after admitting to an affair with the city lawyer, who unsuccessfully vied for the Nairobi Woman Representative position in the 2017 general election.

He, however, undertook to take care of his son with Nyamu, even as she continues to taunt the singer by posting sensual videos taken during their publicized and dramatic affair.

Samidoh and his wife met and fell in love while in high school and got married after clearing their education but their 11-year-marriage has not been a bed of roses.

However, during an interview with a local blog, Samidoh once revealed how his wife, his first love and whom he considered the love of his life, once cheated on him.

He said his wife’s affair pushed him to alcohol to get over the pain of betrayal.
