Eastleigh was abuzz on Tuesday afternoon as Safaricom unveiled its unique physical and digital experiential outlet at the BBS Mall in Nairobi targeting to serve business operators.

The new phygital outlet aims to serve at least 500 customers daily in its designated M-Pesa, Enterprise, Tech and Gaming, Customer Care aisle and Business Meeting zones.

“The focus will be on delivering technology-first, customer-centric services, aligning with our mission to become Africa's leading purpose-led technology company,” said Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa.

Clients will enjoy soundproof meeting booths for private virtual meetings, tech bar for aftersales support to access devices and accessories from varied manufactures and vendors.


“Our aim is to make this shop a hub where customers can experience the full spectrum of what Safaricom Business has to offer,” stated Safaricom Chief Enterprise Business Officer Cynthia Karuri-Kropac.

This is part of Safaricom’s retail expansion plan with more than 47 shops countrywide, added to 373 franchise stores, 2,900 authorized dealer outlets, and 273,000 M-Pesa agent stores.
