Equity Bank has announced its intention to decommission its pioneer EazzyBanking App, which was its inaugural mobile banking application and was officially launched in 2016.

The Kenyan lender asked its customers the app will cease operating on March 15, 2024, instead appealing to all its clients to immediately migrate to the new Equity Mobile App.

Equity Mobile accords the user a modern user-friendly experience with advanced features including integration with global remittance platforms like PayPal and Western Union.

The app allows customers to also schedule payments, view account balances, save, transfer funds to other Equity Bank accounts and in the process boosting regional and global trade.

It further allows the user to send money to mobile wallets, check Boostika and EazzyLoan limits, borrow, save, and also make payments to the One Equity Till Number.

A customer can be able to access the Equity Mobile App, which offers comprehensive financial solutions to customers, on both the Android and iOS mobile operating systems.

The Eazzy Banking and the Eazzy Banking App were unveiled in November 2016 to accord customers easy and enhanced banking experiences to back support their financial needs.
