Mumias Sugar (2021) Ltd. has officially announced the eagerly awaited resumption of factory operations, scheduled to commence on 1st December 2023.

In a public notice released Friday, the company outlined the key details for sugarcane farmers as they gear up for the upcoming harvesting season.

Harvesting and cane deliveries will kick off on Monday, 27th November 2023, as farmers are invited to bring their produce to the weighbridges.

"We are pleased to inform all our esteemed sugarcane farmers that we shall be resuming our factory operations from 1st Decemebr 2023," the company said.

"We shall start harvesting and receiving cane at the weighbridges from Monday 27th November 2023."

The company is actively encouraging farmers to supply mature, clean, and fresh sugarcane, underscoring the importance of quality in their produce.

In a statement from the company, they expressed gratitude for the support received from sugarcane farmers, stating, "We appreciate your continued support and cooperation. It is through your dedication that we can now resume our operations."

"Our cane price will be Sh6,050/- PER TONNE," the company said.
