Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the names of six individuals who have been shortlisted for the vacant position of chairperson of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).
The latest announcement by PSC comes after a vacancy in the position was declared on May 3, 2023 with interested candidates invited to apply for the plum position by May 23, 2023.
In the published list, Abdikadir Aden, John Konchellah, James Wahome, Thomas Mwadeghu, Andrew Musangi, and James Lopoyetum have been shortlisted for interviews to be held at PSC offices in Nairobi on July 12, 2023.
The commission has, in that regard, invited members of the public who wish to provide any information connected to the shortlisted candidates to file affidavits on or before July 10.
“Members of the public are invited to avail any credible information of interest relating to any of the shortlisted candidates (through affidavits) to the secretary/CEO Public Service Commission, 4th floor Commission House, Harambee Avenue or online through [email protected],” said PSC in the announcement published in the dailies.

The shortlisted candidate who will emerge top in the interview scheduled by PSC is expected to take over from Mohamed Nyaoga who has completed his legal term.
Nyaoga was appointed to the position of CBK Chairman in June 2015 by immediate former President Uhuru Kenyatta and his tenure was renewed in June 2019 for a fresh four years.
