Jumia has unveiled its Anniversary Sales Campaign that seeks to offer consumers offers across several product categories including phones, TVs, appliances, beauty and beverages.

The Jumia Anniversary campaign dubbed “Hii Nayo Imeivaa!” runs from June 16 - July 2, 2023 and seeks to celebrate consumers with a varied selection of deals up to 50 per cent off.

Jumia has partnered with various top brands including Infinix, L’Oréal, Samsung, Nivea, Xiaomi, TCL and Pernod Ricard to enrich the shopping experience during Jumia’s 11th Anniversary.

“We will continue to support our vendors and partners to grow their businesses while offering convenience and affordability to our consumers,” said Jumia Kenya CEO Charles Ballard.

He added, “Our Anniversary Sales Campaign is an opportunity for us to reflect on the current tough economic times and try to help consumer save an extra shilling on Jumia.”

The e-commerce firm seeks to expand its reach outside Nairobi using its offline sales model dubbed “JForce” to enable underserved regions access quality products, based on the recently released Jumia Rural E-commerce report.

“The report cites Beauty and Perfumes as the top category from rural consumers at 16 per cent, Home and Phones categories at 11 per cent, TV, audio & Video at 10 per cent, while only 7 per cent of rural consumers purchased Computing items at 7 per cent,” said Jumia Kenya CMO Hellen Ng’ang’a.

She added, “Consumers leveraged Jumia’s best prices as the main reason for shopping online and at the same time satisfied by product availability on the platform.”
