Samsung Electronics has announced a 24-month warranty for selected refrigerators and washing machines.
This is on top of the existing 20-year warranty on the Digital Inverter Technology (DIT) and compressors which will provide a distinguished consumer experience in East Africa region.
The South Korean electronics company says the move is evidence of the confidence Samsung has in the product quality and durability based on innovation and technology.
The two-year warranty will be applicable to particular models of refrigerators and washing machines manufactured by Samsung.
“The 24-month warranty is a showcase of the confidence that we at Samsung have in our innovation and technology,” said Samsung Electronics East Africa Head of Consumer Electronics Samuel Odhiambo.

He added: “We want our consumers to have the peace of mind that a smarter home can bring as they enjoy our products and as we continue to impact the environment positively.”
Samsung says the warranty is supported by decades of research, development and decades of continued investment in technologies and beautiful designs of consumers appliances.
The manufacturer says every Samsung product goes through a rigorous quality assurance phase during which they are tested to ensure they will function properly for many years.
“When a customer walks into any of our dealer stores we can assure them that they are buying durable and high-quality products. They are also buying products that are sustainable and eco-conscious,” Odhiambo stated.
The warranty is applicable to select refrigerators and washing machines bought from January 1, 2023 and Samsung electronics are available at authorized dealers across Kenya.
