Jack Daniel’s has announced the return of its Bartender’s Mentorship Program dubbed Tennessee Campus, which has been running for the past three consecutive years.

The program empowers bartenders to master their craft and is designed as a 360 degrees educative and entrepreneurship experience covering all aspects of hospitality business.

Jack Daniel’s noted that mentorship and guidance are required to help bartenders in Kenya get back onto their feet and overcome challenges facing hospitality through the pandemic.

Launched during Covid19 Tennessee Campus has consistently supported and encouraged Kenyan bartenders to believe in their passions by offering career and business training.

“At Jack Daniel’s we believe that mentorship and skills development has a transformational ability to elevate the career of bartenders. By sharing our knowledge and creating a platform of excellence, Kenyan bartenders can unleash their potential in unimagined ways,” said David Mwangi Mutunga, Jack Daniel’s East Africa Brand Ambassador.

This year’s Tennessee Campus is slated to be spearheaded by Mutunga.

Mutunga added, “All through the pandemic we strongly believed in the talents of our Kenyan colleagues. We are excited to see what they bring forward and apply in 2022”.

The 2022 edition is set to kick off on July 18, 2022, with keynote speakers including Managing Director of Aqueous Brian Owango, Retail Trade Association Kenya chairperson Leonard Mudachi and Women Who Whisky Association President Maryanne Mumbi.
