The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) has yet again been awarded Africa’s Leading Meetings & Conference venue and Africa’s Leading Business Travel Destination (Nairobi) by the World Travel Awards (WTA) for the third consecutive year.

WTA is the leading Global authority recognizing and rewarding excellence in Travel, Tourism Meetings, Incentives Travel, Conferences, and Exhibitions (M.I.C.E) and the Business Events.

The Fete was announced on Thursday during the unveiling of the Africa and Indian Ocean 2021 winners.

KICC CEO Nana Gecaga thanked the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, Kenya government, KICC Board of directors and staff and all Kenyans for their continued support and efforts that ensured KICC won these two awards for the third year running.

“We are humbled to get such great recognition three years in a row. The awards are once again an indication of the outstanding efforts by the Kenyan M.I.C.E and Business Events Sector to position the country as a preferred destination for business events,” said Nana.

She said the awards will spearhead Kenya’s marketing campaigns positioning Kenya as attractive as a leading venue and also as a preferred destination for business events.
