Eng Kung'u Ndung'u has been appointed the new Kenya National Highways Authority (KenHA) effective October 8, 2021.

Transport CS James Macharia released the statement on Friday saying Eng Ndung’u was appointed after a competitive recruitment process by the board.

Before his appointment to the new senior role, he held the position of Director, Road Asset and Corridor Management at KenHA.

“Eng Ndung’u is well versed with various aspects of roads engineering and road sector management in Kenya,” Transport CS James Macharia said in the statement.

He added, “He has been responsible for large roads development projects and maintenance and further demonstrated to the board his knowledge and the qualities of leadership and management which covered prudent financial management.”

Eng Ndung’u was born on October 18, 1972 and obtained an Executive MBA from Jomo Kenyatta University and a Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering degree at the University of Nairobi.

“We are confident that Eng Ndung’u will continue to build organizational capabilities, accountability and successful business delivery at KenHA,” the CS concluded.
