The Board of the Kenya Tea Development Agency Holdings Limited on Friday appointed Wilson Muthaura as the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from October 1.

Until the appointment, Muthaura was the acting Group CEO of KTDA Holdings Limited and has held various senior leadership posts in various private and public institutions for more than 24 years.

“On behalf of the Board and the Management, I would like to congratulate Mr. Muthaura on his appointment and wish him every success in the new role,” said KTDA Holdings Limited Chairman, David Ichoho.

He added, “We believe that he has the requisite leadership vision to steward the organization towards the full attainment of the reforms that we have embarked on.”

Muthaura takes up the post when KTDA is effecting reforms in the tea sub-sector, including strategies to stabilize tea prices at the Mombasa auction to enhance farmers’ earnings.
