The High Court has moved to freeze Goldenscape Greenhouse Limited CEO’s assets over a fraud case filed by a state agency.

High Court Judge James Wakiaga ordered caveats to be placed on 15 parcels of land, 6 vehicles and 5 motorbikes belonging to Peter Wangai Muriithi and his companies.

Muriithi was charged in a Nairobi court in march for obtaining millions from unsuspecting Kenyans with a guarantee of good returns in their greenhouse investments.

He denied 21 counts for allegedly hoodwinked Kenyans into investing in the greenhouse business venture.

The greenhouses were purportedly meant to be set up in Nyandarua, Nyahururu and Ol Kalou counties.

Wakiaga also order the Director-General National Transport & Safety Authority (NTSA) to place a caveat against the 6 vehicles and 5 motorbikes

Muriithi was involved in a money laundering scheme through his companies and used the funds received from members of the public which he later transferred to himself.

He later used the illegally acquired money he transferred to himself to purchase properties in under different titles.
